We are proud to induct Kelan L. Koning into the Susan Daniels Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame.

Kelan Koning (she/her/hers) is a lecturer in the Department of English at California State University, Northridge as well as Communications Director for the California Community Colleges’ Success Network (3CSN).

As a disabled, Mad educator with over 16 years of experience working with historically underserved students through the Educational Opportunity Program, Kelan is dedicated to supporting and advocating for her students and colleagues, particularly those who are the most marginalized in academia. In her work with 3CSN, she facilitates and supports workshops on equitable grading practices.

She lives in the San Fernando Valley with her husband, Rogelio, mother, Judy, and her furbabies, Charlie and Arya.
