Pearl Burgin currently serves as the WorkAbility IV Coordinator/Career Counselor within the Department of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity at San Diego State University. She is a proud disabled, neurodivergent Asian-American woman and mother. She is dedicated to creating spaces where people are not just accepted but celebrated for who they are, especially in her role as Co-Chair of the Disability Employee Resource Group (ERG).

In 2021 she graduated from the Rehabilitation Counseling Program at San Diego State University. During her time in the program, she immersed herself in disability history, culture, community, and advocacy which extends from her involvement in MDA camp and volunteer work with disability-centered spaces.

In her free time, Pearl enjoys spending time with family and friends- traveling, trying new things, and grooving to music.
