Employment & Transition Director, Disability Resource Broker, & Mentor for Life

Mentoring is a labor of love that enables us to take our experiences, growth, and vision to support, encourage, and guide another coming behind us on a journey to success.

The moment I knew I would get as much out of mentoring as my mentee came when I went across a zipline knowing I was afraid of heights. That victory was only made possible with one student asking me to go so that they could gain the courage to do likewise. Now, ten years later, I have progressed from leading the way on ziplines to ensuring that youth with disabilities have quality mentors and access to internships and that adults with disabilities obtain employment with all the support they need. When I am not serving in my role as Director of Employment & Transition Services at the Family Resource Network, I find opportunities to advocate for individuals with disabilities within the fashion and entertainment industries. I also serve on the board of the Georgia Resource and Advocacy Center for Empowerment and the National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey. I possess a B.A. in English-Literature and a Master of Public Administration as well as two certificates in inclusive mentoring and a Project Management Professional Certificate. I love to empower individuals with disabilities to pursue their goals and to teach professionals and businesses how to support people with disabilities while reaping the benefits of a wonderful and fair trade.
