We are proud to induct Elaine Kubik into the Susan Daniels Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame.
Elaine KA is an experienced marketing and communications leader with over 15 years of experience, specialized in inclusive communications, including narratives and campaigns related to accessibility, ESG, and executive pledges for inclusion.
Her work has earned Disability:IN recognition on Fast Company’s inaugural “Brands that Matter” list. She led the marketing campaign “Are You IN?” which to date has galvanized 96 CEOs to go ‘all in’ for disability inclusion as well as 30+ Investors and over 2,000 individual signatures. At Disability:IN she has successfully spearheaded an organizational re-brand from USBLN to Disability:IN, a website revamp compliant to WCAG 2.1 AA, and provided authentic disability representation creative assets produced by Disability:IN, but available to the public.
Elaine was also the primary author of “Disability-Inclusive Communication Guidelines” a first-ever resource developed by the United Nations Office of the Secretary General, as a UN-wide resource to help all entities achieve UN Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS) launched by the Secretary-General in 2019. This was completed in partnership with the Executive Office of the Secretary-General, members of the United Nations Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS) focal point network, and the International Disability Alliance.
Elaine earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Columbia University – School of International and Public Affairs and was also Co-President of the Technology and Innovation Student Association which led to the administration formally introducing a ‘Tech & Policy @ SIPA’ initiative including expanded course offerings and tech-specialized faculty. She speaks Spanish fluently as a proud Panamanian-American and lives in Brooklyn NY with her husband and baby daughter.
