“I was afforded so many opportunities in my life, and much of it was thanks to the teachers, mentors and sponsors that nurtured me and gave me a chance. It’s incredibly important to me that I pay that forward to the next generation.”

We are proud to induct Nefertali Deeb into the Susan Daniels Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame.

Nefertali Deeb joined NBCUniversal’s Corporate Diversity & Inclusion team in 2018 as a Diversity & Inclusion Manager. She is responsible for building and maintaining community partnerships with over 120 diverse organizations at national, regional and local levels, contributing to company-wide diversity initiatives, strategic planning and research.

Prior to her current role, Nefertali was at NBC News for six years, where she produced content for the Today show, Nightly News, Meet the Press and Dateline to air on local stations broadcasts. She produced live hits with network correspondents, created social media assets, contributed to editorial newsgathering, conducted interviews and wrote articles that were published on NBCNews.com.

She began her career as a Policy Officer for the Scottish Government, followed by a Researcher for think-tank Reform Scotland before moving back to the United States in 2012.
A graduate of the University of California at Davis in Political Science and Global Studies, Nefertali earned her master’s degree in International Politics & Diplomacy from the University of Edinburgh.

Nefertali lives in Los Angeles with her husband. She enjoys travelling, yoga, reading and spending time with her friends and family.
