Dr. Kojo Amissah

Educator, mentor, activist, and transformational leader

“Mentoring is a two-way support system of learning and unlearning.”

We are proud to induct Dr. Kojo Amissah into the Susan Daniels Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame.

Kojo is a proud Dad, a project manager, and a program architect living in Washington, DC. He loves creating programs that sustain positive change for everyone. As a Diversity and Inclusion Consultant, he identifies as a Black Deaf and Hard of Hearing male. He is the only one out of seven siblings that is Deaf and Hard of Hearing and holds a doctorate in Management and published.

Kojo is also an entrepreneur who started his own DJ business in college, transitioning into a music production company. Check out my mixes on SoundCloud. He helped others start the own businesses and recently started the Amistad Diversity and Inclusion Consulting Group, LLC to work with organizations to design and build sustainable Diversity and Inclusion programs.

When he is not at work, he produces music, runs his businesses, creates new businesses, mentors, cooks (many Ghana dishes), watches old-school movies, spends time with my daughter and family. His favorite saying and doing “pay it forward.”
