We are proud to induct Mary Brougher into the Susan Daniels Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame.  Mary is the EVP of operations for Bender Consulting Services, Inc., a firm that partners with corporations and federal agencies to assist them in achieving their disability-focused diversity and workforce inclusion initiatives.  Bender collaborates with customers to impact strategic planning, talent acquisition, training, and digital accessibility of workplace technologies.  Headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, Bender Consulting operates across the U.S. and Canada.  Mary’s areas of responsibilities include leading disability employment strategic planning and digital accessibility consulting services, training, government services, and talent programs within the Bender enterprise.

During 2009 and 2010, Mary served as the project director of the Collaborative on Accessible Workplace Technologies, a Department of Labor initiative focused on developing and communicating effective practices for employing people with disabilities, as well as creating accessible workplace technology policies and practices.

Mary joined the Bender family of companies in 1994, and has held search consultant and VP of recruitment positions, prior to assuming her current role.  Earlier in her career, she provided relational database consulting services, business consulting services, and has implemented technology systems and strategies.

Mary is a member of the Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Council and the Volunteers of America Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Council, providing advice and fundraising for a training program delivering technology and customer support services content, in support of people with disabilities.  Mary is also a member of the USBLN Disability Equality Index Advisory Committee.  She holds bachelor of science degrees in computer science and economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
